History of Otolaryngology Associates of Tennessee
Otolaryngology Associates of Tennessee (OAT) is a team of medical and audiological specialists dedicated to providing exceptional ear, nose, and throat care to patients across Middle Tennessee. In every aspect of our practice, we are committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a courteous and respectful environment.
OAT was established in 1997 through the merger of two prominent Nashville-based otolaryngology practices. Led by Drs. Bryan, Kennon, and Alley, these groups had roots dating back to the 1930s and 1950s. Each practice had earned a strong reputation for clinical excellence, helping to set the standard for otolaryngology care in the region. Today, OAT proudly continues that legacy.
Our physicians primarily serve patients through St. Thomas, Centennial, and Williamson Medical Center. We also maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, and the Bill Wilkerson Center, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for our patients.
With multiple locations throughout Middle Tennessee, OAT remains committed to accessibility and community engagement. In addition to physician office visits, we offer a full range of ENT services, including hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, allergy testing and treatment, custom ear molds, cancer care, pediatric otolaryngology, vestibular testing, voice therapy, and cochlear implants.
For decades, OAT and its predecessor practices have had the privilege of caring for the communities of Middle Tennessee. Through our patient-centered approach, we continuously seek innovative ways to enhance and deliver high-quality otolaryngology services.
